The Collective Presents Echoes of Light: A Diwali Celebration Inspired by the Magic of a Moment

India, Nov 04: This Diwali, The Collective invites you to experience the festival of light through a different lens with ‘Echoes of Light’; a celebration of the fleeting, luminous moments that make the festive season unforgettable.

At the heart of the campaign is a striking new installation created in collaboration with Mumbai-based artist and sculptor Tyrell Valladares, founder of Metalhead Studio. Inspired by the ephemeral beauty of fireworks, the installation captures that singular moment when a burst of light explodes across the night sky - radiating colour, movement and energy before disappearing into darkness.
The artwork transforms this fleeting spectacle into something tangible. A dynamic composition of form, colour and light comes together to recreate the sense of wonder that accompanies a firework in the night sky, a reminder that some of the most beautiful moments are also the most transient. At The Collective, the installation becomes a visual expression of Diwali itself: luminous, celebratory and full of possibility.
“Echoes of Light is about capturing a moment that is inherently fleeting,” says Pranchal Srivastava. “A firework exists for only a few seconds, but the feeling it creates stays with you. We wanted to bring that idea into our spaces this festive season, creating something that feels celebratory, contemporary and unexpected.”
TYRELL VALLADARES - TURNING MATERIAL INTO MOVEMENT
Known for his experimental approach to sculpture and installation, Tyrell Valladares has built a distinctive practice around transforming materials into large-scale works that command attention. Through Metalhead Studio, which he founded in Mumbai in 2012, Valladares has worked across metal sculpture, light art, set design and public installations. His portfolio includes collaborations and commissions for names such as Nike, Adidas and Johnnie Walker, alongside public artworks across Mumbai.
Among his notable works is the monumental Nike ‘Bleed Blue’ installation created for the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival; an 800-kg interpretation of the Indian cricket jersey constructed from gears and sprockets. His public works also include Fountain of Sight at KEM Hospital and installations such as I Am Bandra and We Are The World.
For The Collective, Valladares brings this distinctive language of material, scale and movement to Echoes of Light, translating the energy of a firework into an artwork that can be experienced up close.
The spirit of Echoes of Light also extends to The Collective’s festive edit, bringing together statement occasionwear, accessories and considered gifts from its portfolio of international luxury brands. Designed for celebrations and meaningful gestures alike, the selection offers a contemporary take on the art of dressing up and giving during the season of light.
The result is a Diwali installation that celebrates not simply light, but the memory of light - the glow that lingers long after the sky has gone dark.
With Echoes of Light, The Collective celebrates a Diwali filled with colour, imagination and moments worth remembering.
