LGE India continues its growth momentum by delivering strong revenue from operations of ₹73.80 billion in Q2 FY27, up 19.5% over ₹61.74 billion in Q2 FY26. EBITDA rose 28.0% to ₹7.01 billion, with margin expanding 63 basis points to 9.5%, while profit after tax (PAT) grew 25.7% to ₹4.89 billion. Increased profitability was achieved despite elevated commodity prices, rupee depreciation and go-to-market investments to capture the upcoming festive season demand.

Looking at H1FY27, revenue grew 17.5% to ₹146.13 billion, PAT rose 26.5% to ₹11.42 billion, EBITDA grew 27.9% to ₹16.16 billion with EBITDA margin of 11.1% (up 0.9% YoY).

What distinguished the quarter was the quality of the growth. It was balanced across volume and value, and across both mass and premium segments. Both businesses contributed strongly - Home Appliances & Air Solution recorded its highest growth since listing, while Home Entertainment extended its run of double-digit growth to a third consecutive quarter on a high base. Television value market share reached a record high, and a fast-scaling export business complemented healthy domestic demand, reflecting growth that is broad-based and built to last.

LGE India also announced its entry into a new B2B segment – Vehicle Solutions, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI). This initiative will bring LG Korea's key global B2B automotive business, including automotive infotainment and telematics solutions, to India. These products will be manufactured and supplied from LGE India’s 3rd plant at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.

Highlighting the results, Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, Managing Director, LGE India Limited, said, “We are proud to announce our second consecutive strong quarter results, culminating in a robust H1FY27. This performance reflects the broader strength of India’s consumer durables industry, which continues to benefit from rising disposable incomes, growing aspiration for premium products and deepening penetration across metro and emerging markets. As LGE India completes its first year as a listed company, this performance reflects the trust our shareholders have placed in us and our commitment to creating long-term value for them. Moving beyond consumer electronics, we are expanding our footprint in the rapidly evolving B2B sector, by entering a new B2B vertical, Vehicle Solutions. Our foundational three-pillar strategy—Make-in-India, Make-for-India, and Make-India-Global—will continue driving our ambitious growth trajectory across domestic and export markets.”

 Category Performance

Home Appliances & Air Solution (H&A) delivered its highest quarterly growth since listing, with revenue of ₹47.72 billion, up 20.9% YoY. Strong double-digit momentum ran across major categories, with washing machines, refrigerators and room air conditioners leading the charge, while dishwashers delivered breakout growth. The company's two-track strategy delivered growth across both mass and premium segments, and the expanding LG Essential Series range, together with the newly launched Chest Freezers and French Door Refrigerators further widened its reach, strengthening market leadership across key categories.

Segment EBIT grew 28.4% YoY to ₹4.16 billion, with EBIT margin improving to 8.7% from 8.2% in Q2 FY26. Operating leverage on strong volume growth more than offset elevated commodity prices, currency impact on imports and go-to-market investments made ahead of the festive season.

Home Entertainment (HE) delivered revenue of ₹26.08 billion, up 17.2% YoY on a high base, marking the segment's third consecutive quarter of double-digit growth. Televisions led the momentum as consumers upgraded to larger screens and offline market share scaled to an all-time high, widening LG's lead in the category. The B2B Information Display business delivered strong growth, adding further depth to the segment's growth engines.

Segment EBIT rose 19.9% to ₹3.37 billion, with EBIT margin improving to 12.9% from 12.6% in Q2 FY26. Elevated panel costs, currency impact on imports and incremental festive go-to-market investments were offset by operating leverage from strong revenue growth and improved profitability in the B2B business, which has emerged as a second profit engine alongside televisions.

FY27 Outlook

  • Strong festive and wedding season positioning, with go-to-market investments made in Q2 ensuring channel readiness across key markets
  • Expanded television line-up: Mini LED TVs join the large-screen, QNED and OLED range, building on record-high television market share
  • Energy-efficient ACs to continue driving growth momentum
  • Premium momentum: French Door refrigerators and dishwashers expected to sustain growth as consumers shift towards premium, energy-efficient and larger-capacity appliances, while B2B continues to add resilience to margins
  • Export scale-up: India positioned as LG's preferred export hub, with over 20 new countries entered since the IPO
  • Sri City plant expected to commence operations in Q3 FY27 with compressor manufacturing, enhancing localisation and set to increase existing capacity for domestic and export demand

Backed by a strong H1 FY27 performance, LGE India reaffirms its FY27 targets of mid-teen revenue growth and an early double-digit EBITDA margin. While commodity and currency trends remain key monitorables, these are being actively managed through localisation, calibrated pricing and operational efficiency, and overall industry sentiment remains positive heading into the peak demand season.
